Quest

I have been on a quest to find this fabric. It's a Robert Kaufman, Chef's Choice. All I need is fat eighth.

I have hunted throughout Oregon and northern California with no luck. What have I found? Leaders for my frame.

Wonderful plaid...9 fat quarters for $1 each (score!) and some extra yardage at another store. This picture does not do the colors justice.

Kits: dish towels and ironing mats. Can you say Christmas gifts?

Vvrroom, race car fabric. I have mentioned in the past that I'm addicted to pillow cases.

Would you believe these were on the clearance table? Mini or table runner?

These are faux leathers. I couldn't make up my mind so I bought a yard of each. I see a new tote bag in my near future.

Sigh...but I didn't find the fabric I wanted. I did get to visit four new-to-me quilt shops.

Double the Fun

I took a quick trip to visit my Mom the week of July 4th. I stopped in Klamath
Falls to pick up my brother. I don't think I've been to Klamath Falls before, very pretty place.

It was quiet trip with a couple of great barbecues. I even got a little sewing in.

Another fast, fun and easy pattern: Club Sandwiches from Atkinson Designs' Let's Do Lunch book. So fast, fun and easy I made two in one day.

Fast, Fun and Easy

The title says it all. I haven't made a quilt this quickly in ages. I would have been done last weekend except I decided I didn't want to piece the last border (44.5 inches, just a tad too long for WOF), so I had to do a little shopping before I could finish it this weekend.

The pattern is a varitation of a Joanna Figueroa pattern published in a 2008 American Patchwork & Quilting magazine. This may be my new favorite baby quilt pattern.
